I really owe you a letter but as news is very scarce a p.c. will have to do. How do you like your new work it is very nice to be coming. Please thank father for his letter. I had a nice one from Charly today. Hear rumours of America and things are lovely here but we are not yet in the firing line.

Just a line to let you know I am safe out of the trenches and back at a nice village. I shall have some news in the next letter. The Jeps appear to have been busy and I notice that a German raider has been busy. Hear other rumours but will speak of them later
