Heaps of thanks for yours of 11th to hand a couple of days ago. So you have not yet been posted cadet school eh? Lucky devil! Nine months in Blighty at least  I suppose true that Larkhill is not exactly an ideal spot but of course you’ll be sent to Brighton or somewhere like that and don’t forget I shall anxiously await “all the news”

Am down here for seven days, lucky devil, eh! We are losing Joe OCB comp now am having a grand time and gorgeous weather. Have you heard Jack is wounded? Rather nasty but he’ll pull through alright.
